Epic space indie - intricate and compelling rhythms are the perfect foundation to overlay our reverb-drenched guitar lines and powerful yet delicate female vocal as we attempt to chart the highs and lows of the soul.

Biography

Musicians Jon and Neil have been in bands together since they were at school - at a party in Jon's house they decided to get back together in a new band. Their good friend Carolyn heard this and wanted to get involved. During a raucous group sing-along in the midst of the party she blew them away with her sweet yet powerful voice. Fresh from a spell with North East punk legends The Angelic Upstarts, drummer Jonnie got in touch and clicked straight off through a shared love of Spiritualized and psychedelic indie. Late 2010 was spent in Newcastle in rehearsals, writing and finally recording a 5 track EP which is available on http://parastatic.bandcamp.com

2011 sees the band finalising plans to hit the road supporting the release of their self-titled CD and showcasing new material which builds on the already evident psychedelia, shoegaze and kraut influences.

The EP includes the track ‘If I’m not there’ played by Nick Roberts on his BBC Radio Newcastle Show, Tara O’s Best of British indie show in Canada and features on Soundblab.com’s Unsigned MixTape.

"Centred around a powerful yet sprightly female vocal...stuffed with vibrant rhythm that eddies under cristalline guitar, hazy verses outshone by soaring chorus. 'Assured' doesn't even come close to describing it..." NARC magazine March 2011

So far this year the band has featured on music blogs – Bad Robot, Best of British Indie and Harmless Noise who said - "I like this band. They’ve got enough twists and riffs to keep the interest piqued without falling into the schlocky end of crowd-pleaser tunage." Harmless Noise.
