Biography

Early years spent growing up in the suburbs of Manchester provided a rich and varied musical diet.Classic cut's from the likes of Otis Redding and Jimmy Cliff were heard regularly alongside more mainstream and contemporary offerings and served as the backcloth to Phil's emerging interest in music.

After relocating to Edinburgh in 1988 followed by a short spell living in Glasgow, Phil eventually settled in South West Scotland to take up a music recording course at Cumbria Institute of the Arts.An introduction to the college Protools equiped studio convinced him that this was the way forward and Phil remains a keen advocate of both writing and recording using this software.

This aside, his skillset including guitar is largely self taught honed through years of exploration, experimentation and, more recently, collaboration.

How Lucky You Are

Written By: SMassa

LUCKY YOU ARE

Well I don’t wanna hear how he kicks you while he’s sleeping
And I’ve already heard how he missed your birthday

Cause all the while you’re talking down your boyfriend
I’m still single
All alone
Wishing that I shared your woes

You don’t know how lucky
How lucky you are
You don’t know how lucky
How lucky you are

And I don’t need to know that he leaves the towels dripping
Oh and who cares how he dances, big deal

Cause I know without those constant little reminders
That I’m single
Sat at home
Being better off alone

You don’t know how lucky
How lucky you are
You don’t know how lucky
How lucky you are

Unsympathetic
You just don’t get it
Inconsiderate, I’d say
So shut your mouth or change the record
You’re suppose to be a friend huh

(guitar break)

Well I’m sorry but I’ve heard enough about your boyfriend
And how I’m single
On the phone being better off alone

Because you don’t know how lucky
How lucky you are
You don’t know how lucky
How lucky you are
You don’t know how lucky
How lucky you are
You don’t know how lucky
How lucky you are

Better In The End

Written By: P Ogden & S Massa

BETTER IN THE END

She packed her things
Closed another door
She’s played this scene
Too many times before

She knew it was time to just get out
Thought about it over and over
Coz this little bird
She needs to fly so high

Another chapter in the story
Just to find the same pages turning over and over
You have to get through all this to find
It will be better in the end

She sits and stares
Boxes everywhere
Her dreams mustn’t waste
In this new and tiny space

Told that in time it all works out
She’s heard it said over and over
Coz this little bird deserves to fly

Another chapter in the story
Just to find the same pages turning over and over
You have to get through all this to find
It will be better in the end

If everyday was always smooth
You wouldn’t see things getting better
But one day you’ll find you’re gonna shine

Another chapter in the story
Just to find the same pages turning over and over
You have to get through all this to find
It will be better in the end
