Parkday plays a fresh mix of upbeat and vibin' roots n' rock music.

Honest lyrics and DamienÂ’s soulful vocals reach out and connect while mikes melodic guitar work draws you into the driving rhythm section provided by Viv and Mike.

With a commitment to great song writing and live shows, Parkday have been gaining the reputation of a top original act on the Gold Coast.

Plans for the rest of 2008 include finishing their new E.P with legend producer Guy Cooper and then an East Coast tour to promote the anticipated release.

2006: Damien and Mike started an originals duo. Parkday started.

Early 2007: Viv (drummer) joined then Bruce (bass player) joined to form full line up.

Mid 2007: Selected to play at AMAC (Australian Music Association Conference) for our first public performance.

We have played most of the smaller size venues around Gold Coast.

Late 2007: Self recorded our first E.P Second Story Songs

Reached number 1 on charts in the easy listening category

Headlined Fund Raising Concert for Cancer Councils Relay for Life

Bruce moved overseas and Daniel joined as new bass player.

Progressed to the Grand Final of the Jack Daniels Acoustic Band Competition

Early 2008: Wrote new and bigger sounding songs.

We have started playing medium to large size venues and playing shows in Brisbane and Sunshine Coast.

Mid 2008: Started work on second E.P. currently recording the demo tracks.

We were selected by GCMIA for arts imitative.

We recorded City of Angels demo with Bec Cains.

We are recording more songs with well known producer/engineer Guy Cooper.

Goals for the future: We are aiming to record and release our second EP this year and continue to work on our live performances.

We hope to play all the venues on the Gold Coast and increase our profile.
