Here is a rough translation that they sent to us.
Tell us what you think :)
Park Lane are a band for the future. I'm sure of this. I know that a 4 songs ep is not enough to be sure of a band's potential. But if I think about all the things the band has been through to release this ep (if you have time, go check them in the emergent artist section of our website) I totally approve the obstinacy and the determination demonstrated by the band to see their music realized. Relying on a powerful and at the same time catchy alternative rock, the four tracks of the ep trace the outline of what the style of the band is: plucky guitars, killer melodies, a voice above the average (personally it reminds me of late Papa Roach and late Eighteen Visions) and instrumental parts that even if it may seem banal when you first hear it, they reveal themselves intricate and never boring. Another thing to say is that this ep was recorded in only four days, another applause to the band's professionalism. It has been produced by Destroy The Runner's lead guitarist ( I don't like this band that much, but they have a good following). They're also friends with As Cities Burn and Oh Sleeper, two great bands in the US alternative music. Their name is spreading a lot and people start crowding their gigs. The future is in their hands, I hope they will exploit it to the utmost. They've got all the potential to do it.

Bio
Just like fitting puzzle pieces together to make a portrait, the same goes for putting a band together. The guys of Park Lane: Calvin Calloway, Mike Keller, Grayson Hurd, Joe Calderon, and Cameron Stucky have seen the ups and downs of trying to put those pieces together. After auditioning over 80 lead singers, going through 2 bass players and 2 drummers, they had finally finished that puzzle. Shortly after the band had finished working on some new material, Duane Reed (Guitarist and back up vocalist of Destroy the Runner) approached the band and offered to help them record an EP in December 2008. "We packed up and headed down to San Diego, it's was just a huge leap of faith." They recorded their 4 song EP down at Sushifish Studios in only 5 days. The guys of Park Lane are back and more ready than ever to take the music industry by storm.
