"CD Review"

Boston, Massachusetts – From diverse regions of the United States, a talented group of musicians came together to form one of the next hopeful rock groups of today. With appeasing synchronization, catchy guitar riffs, and easy-on-the-ear lyrics, their debut album Walk Alone, released this summer, seeps with humbly composed songs of individual defeat and realization. One of those songs, “House by the Water” has quickly become a favorite among fans with its brilliant guitar opening and acoustic chorus.

The guys of Parkview formed in the fall of 2002 with the modest intention of writing great songs that would “communicate to the fans on multiple levels.” They have already made an indigenous name for themselves in the dorms at Berklee College of Music, and Boston’s surroundings cities. Group members, Dave from Cape Cod, Justin from New Orleans, and Glenn from Wyoming discovered a superb writing and musical chemistry the moment they played their first chord together.

Described as “one of the most unique acts to hit the rock music scene in decades,” these rousing musicians have joined their obvious talents to create a band surely destined for greatness. With their seamless blend of ambient guitar riffs, soothing harmonies, and heart-felt vocals, their music embraces the listener with truth and honesty; the melodic choruses illustrate stories of personal struggle and emotion. A band with passion, a band with honesty, a band with great songs… take a deep breath of fresh air and immerse yourself in the brilliance that is Parkview.

"Album Review"

Parkview won the first prize in Boston's battle of the bands in 2005, their fine song "Changing tides" is featured on AlternativeAddiction's compilation album "Addiction V.7" together with artists like Dishwalla and Greenwheel. We're talking mainstream modern rock with that typical American sound, it's a shame that the production isn't on the same level as the songs and the performance.

There's no doubt these guys mean business, just listen to the bluesy "Devils queen" that brings my thoughts to Paul Rodgers and Bad Company - the other songs takes the listener to the same neighborhood as Greenwheel and Matchbox 20.

They've got a cool rocknroll attitude lying over the songs, with a bigger budget anything can happen but for now - this 6 track EP will do just fine - Kaj Roth-Melodic.Net

Come closer to the edge with the Boston based five-some Parkview and realize just how far they've had to climb. Their music is a transcendental release from the harsh realities of life, the scars left behind by bite marks of challenge and perseverance. And that’s just what this band is all about, showing their scars and the blossom of truth behind the sometimes disfigured emotional center known as the human experience.

Parkview originally exploded into the underground music scene in late 2004, bringing with them their own intense brand of rock n’ roll - a polished-off cross between well known acts Matchbox Twenty and 3 Doors Down. Since then, they’ve been riding a wave of turbulent musical energy with gripping live performances, led by the sheer vocal intensity of lead singer Glenn Romero. The band has played more than 100 shows, in the last year, infecting the ears of hundreds of fans along the East Coast.

Nearly a year has passed since New England’s best-kept secret embarked on their musical venture, touring relentlessly in support of fans, playing to bigger crowds with each passing gig. In addition to a variety of club and bar shows, the band gave an electrifying performance at Boston’s Anthem Battle of the Bands in 2005, capturing the top spot and taking home first prize – a concert in Florida before an audience of 50,000+.

With all that’s happened in such a short time, the most important elements of Parkview are still in place and going strong – hard work and determination. And for fans wondering what Parkview is up to lately, they’ve recently released their latest EP, “Songs Above The View,” that promises to surpass all the band’s previous endeavors.
