Bio
Parlor Knights describe their sound as “indie rock.” The Belleville band is comprised of former members of “Tonight at Seven” and “No Parlor” and has the distinction of having a trumpet player in the band.
In October of 2009, founding member Ben “OB” Krausz died in a head-on accident on the way home after practice. Krausz’s passing had a profound impact on the remaining members of the group.
“After OB passed I had a stark realization in my life ... It’s either you do what you love right now or you sit around and procrastinate and you pretend like you’re doing a good job,” said lead vocalist Gavin McNutt. The remaining members recruited Chris Garner to play bass and soldiered on with greater resolve.
They have produced a five-track EP and are in the midst of recording a full-length album.
Parlor Knights usually performs three or four times a month at venues on both sides of the river and tour regionally in the summer.
