Part 2

Dynamic, funky, animated, all combined. It’s original, it’s distinctive, it’s PART 2. A new artist from Houston, TX defying the norms of southern rap and hip-hop in general forging a new and unique sound that cannot be defined by a single genre. And with influences from everyone from Kanye West, to John Mayer, to Andre 300 to Bon Iver how can you? PART 2 creatively fuse’s elements of hip hop, electro-pop and alternative music genre’s to form one distinct sound of his own. The ambient burst of electric guitars, synths and 808's are combined with his uptempo vocal delivery that takes command of the energetic cadences.
PART 2 brings the complete package to the table. The sound, the look, the lyricism, and most importantly the passion and heart for his craft. “I want to change the world through music” he states as his ultimate goal. He believes that creativity and ingenuity can change the world. As a recording artist, it is his obligation to inspire and uplift his community through art and performance. In doing so he is notably emerging as one of the most innovative young pioneer’s in pop culture.
PART 2’S musical journey started back in middle school when he started rapping, recording, and releasing his own mixtapes. Midway through high school he met a producer by the name of Aaron Rash who helped him cultivate his sound and the two have been partnering since.
Things have moved quickly for PART 2 as his musical aspirations have started to take shape. Outside of performing regularly throughout the Houston area he has already recorded and released an EP on iTunes entitled “Don’t Shoot the Martian”. And his lead single “Build a House” has already started to generate buzz in internationally. Debuting exclusively on Europe’s #1 hip-hop website www.yoraps.com, the song generated over 31,000 plays in just 24 hrs.
Now the journey continues as PART 2 continues to work and is in the studio recording his first full length solo album with lofty goals in his sights. “My inspiration is the unity that music has the power to create”. The universal sounds and themes in his music are helping him do just that. Music is what PART 2 was born to do and he sums it up himself perfectly; “I know who I am and what I want to do and I’m not afraid to be myself.” So far so good on all fronts.
