Bio

Parthenon Huxley is the classic, single-minded indie artist who follows his own musical path. Originally inspired by the British Invasion, his sound has evolved into a unique mix of soaring melodies, hot guitars and a globe-spanning world view. Beloved by many but under the radar to most, he has managed to score four Top 20 hits, win three Album of the Year Awards and one Composer of the Year Award. He's recorded for majors (Columbia, MCA, Universal) and loads of indies. He's written with classic rock acts (Foreigner, ELO Part II) and classic indie acts (eels, Splendid, Rusty Anderson). The single consistent factor has been his catchy music. "You could land a marlin with these hooks" Rolling Stone magazine famously declared about his first single, "Buddha, Buddha." In 1998 when ELO Part II needed a guitarist/singer/songwriter they turned to Huxley. The band has performed sold-out shows all over the world for the last 14 years. Huxley's upcoming album, "Thank You Bethesda" will be released in November.
