Pasta Sauce Exchange

Formed in 2015 by frontman Tom DeMarco, Pasta Sauce Exchange set out to get the meatball rolling in the quest for the perfect recipe. After welcoming Andy Laufer in 2016, an integral member and wildly creative mind, the sauce was starting to taste proper. With the goal of finding the perfect flavor, DeMarco and Laufer went through several drummers, bouncing back and forth between duo and trio until finding the missing link. In 2019, PSE welcomed their newest members Mike LaMattina and Connor Sheehan, as second guitarist and drummer. With this addition, PSE was finally able to create the long sought-after sauce, a melting pot of flavors, fusing to create a sweet and savory yet punchy sound sure to rattle your insides in the most delicious way possible. If only you could taste through their greasy sound waves.

With sharp reggae and funk influences from DeMarco and irrefutable alternative and metal influences from Laufer, Sheehan and LaMattina, Pasta Sauce Exchange dishes out a style that can be described in one word: flavorful. Each song pours unique grooves over PSE’s distinguished base sound, like a variety of sauces atop a bed of rigatoni. Their slow melodic parts are paired with tight, high-energy grooves, and will surely satisfy your appetite like grandma’s signature spaghetti sauce. PSE’s style doesn’t quite fit into a single category but could be loosely considered funk rock with a pinch of reggae, as they have been compared to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Police, and Sublime.
