Bio

Pastilla is a band formed in 1992 in Los Angeles. Their style is melodic punk. Originally from Mexico DF, Adrian Monroy (guitar / vocals) and Victor "chicles" Monroy (vocals/ guitar / keyboard) are the founders of the band. When Eric Rubalcava from Los Angeles (drums) and Heriberto Gonzales from Mexico (bass) joined Adrian and chicles, the group was complete and as we know it today "Pastilla". After, in 2000 Pablo Fridman from Argentina replace Heriberto on the bass.
They have two records, the first one released on 1996 named as the band Pastilla, this is a 14-trach album, produced by Ernesto Ramírez, and signed on Aztlan Records. Their second record is named Vox Electra, this is also a record with 14-tracks, plus a bonus track, that is a piano version from the song "Aquí Estoy". This record was produced by Diego Herrera, a musician that used to play with "Caifanes". And signed by BMG. The band has participated in many compilations and tributes.

In 2003 they will release their third album, now independent.

Media review "Finally, Pastilla took the stage at midnight. Pastilla's set which opened with "Superstar", a song written specifically for the film Price of Glory. Pastilla's impact on the event, however, came off the stage. Referred to as the best rock en español band to come out of Los Angeles, Pastilla is paving the road for local talent. They were the first L.A. band to sign with a major record label, and they have been able to tour successfully in Spain and in Mexico. Before they were able to sing a single note that night, Pastilla was able to make their mark on the music scene as the trailer for "Pastilla, the film" premiered for the first time on the west coast."
