Bio
‘Past the point of influence’ are Craig Cullen on drums and Patrick Keating Kearney on guitar and vocals. This two piece band from limerick (but now based in cork) were described by a local promoted as 'frantic noise pop from a 4 legged machine' which in essence is true. I’d say they’re more alternative then pop though, with crazy time changes, riffs meeting chords, soft vocals meet slight screams and fight it out with speeding drums or ‘something like that.’ They take influence from a wide range of acts such as Tool, The Mars Volta, Minus the Bear, Red Neck Manifesto, Sonic Youth, Nick Drake, Primus list goes on. Ok a bit of background, both of the two piece were in a band called Kaderfire, and have played the local Irish scene with this band playing the very esteamed ‘Hard Working Class Hero’s’ in 2003.They have also played ‘The Ballroom of Romance’ and many venues in Ireland. These guys are pushing the envelope as far as experimentation goes, and at the same time have the melodies and song writing ability to put out a great tune.
