Sonnets for my Future Wife

Written By: Pat Ball

You’ll be the church I’ll serve with all my heart
But no building will touch your company
I’ll see your beauty in its deepest part
Deeper than deepest seas will our love be
You’ll be my greatest treasure of the earth
And universe, as far as I see, too
Gold will not surpass all the love you’re worth
And platinum will lose money next to you

You’ll be my escape when I need it most
Your whispers will weave covers of my rest
You’ll shine like the stars and the heaven’s host
As long as I’m with you, I know I’m blessed
And I will love you for all of my life
I sing these sonnets for my future wife

My Lord will dress you like a wild rose
Don’t even try, I’d like you naturally
The only thorn will be in that I’d know
I’d never quite describe you completely
There will be peace when you turn out the light
Your hug will drive the bad dreams miles away
Your tender touch will tuck me in at night
And your smile will be coffee to my day

If love is patient and if love is kind
And takes a little faith and believing
I’d wait for you and really wouldn’t mind
For I know that you’ve been made for me
And I will love you for all of my life
I sing these sonnets for my future wife

And I will wait for the rest of my life
I sing these sonnets for my future wife

Sonnets for my Future Wife

You'll be the church I'll serve with all my heart
But no building will touch your company
I'll see your beauty in its deepest part
Deeper than deepest seas will our love be
You'll be my greatest treasure of the earth
And universe, as far as I see, too
Gold will not surpass all the love you're worth
And platinum will lose money next to you

You'll be the angel to my holy ghost
Always watching over my rest
You'll shine like the stars and the heaven's host
As long as I'm with you, I know I'm blessed
And I will love you for all of my life
I sing these sonnets for my future wife

My Lord will dress you like a wild rose
Don't even try, I'd like you naturally
The only thorn will be in that I'd know
I'd never quite describe you completely
There will be peace when you turn out the light
Your hug will drive the bad dreams miles away
Your tender touch will tuck me in at night
And your smile will be coffee to my morning day

If love is patient and if love is kind
And it takes a little faith and believing
I'd wait for you and really wouldn't mind
For I know that you've been made for me
And I will love you for all of my life
I sing these sonnets for my future wife

And I will wait for the rest of my life
I sing these sonnets for my future wife

November

Written By: Patrick Ball

“November” by Patrick Ball

Remember then, you said “hello”
It seems like such a long time ago
I loved all those days in NOVEMBER

Do you remember?
That NOVEMBER when we played football in the park
We played halfway into dark
You could see our breath
‘Cause it was cold as ice, but that did not stop us
And that orange NOVEMBER dusk
It seems like yesterday

I remember the time we spent together
But you left before December
The memories are still there
I loved all those days in NOVEMBER

Do you remember?
If you were lucky you would make it all the way
To the end zone that we made
We’d dance around
When we got back home, we saw more games on “T.V.”
While they we’re cookin’ up that feast
It seems like yesterday

I remember the time we spent together
But you left before December
The memories are still there
I loved all those days in NOVEMBER

Bittersweet: we all held hands and prayed
Bittersweet: daddy knew just what to say to our heavenly one
Bittersweet: the way that cranberries taste
Bittersweet: it was one more day before you would be gone

I remember the time we spent together
But you left before December
The memories are still there (my friend) (x2)

Remember then, you said “goodbye”
I tried so hard not to cry
I loved all those days in NOVEMBER
