Bio

The combination of guitarist-frontman Joey B. and drummer-younger brother Jake B. had always been a recipe for hard hitting rock and memorable live shows. They eventually crossed paths with Bassist Phil Wrenn. The three of them had eventually taken on the name Patchwork, a reference to the connection made between ALL things living and physical and how lives are massive "works" of experience and memory all strung together.

Patchwork began cranking out songs and playing live shows in just under six months of writing. Turning out original songs at an unprecedented rate, the band began recording in mid-February 2004 and released Drama Tactic in October. With influences reflecting their name, ranging from funky to heavy, the band's songs are always infused with infectious melodies, catchy riffs, and deeply personal lyrics.
After a year of heavy giging and some amazing venues (Bogarts, Detroit, Louisville, Blue Note & Emergenza, Langus, Ellison, Wasted Days, Mid-Point Music Festival, RBCs opening for "July for Kings" and opening for 80s rockers, "Stryper" at Annies, etc., etc.) Patchwork sought for new direction and inspiration in the hopes of a "fresh" and "better" follow up record. Patchwork performed several shows through the turn of the 2005-2006 year to continue it's commitment to keep their music alive and in good standing with local efforts and club owners. And, after the airing of an interview with the band and a live, on-air performance on local station 102.7 WEBN, Patchwork knew they had touched the beginning of a "fresh direction". Patchwork is in the studio now recording their second album in hopes to release it in December of 2007.
