A group formed in the year 2005 by musicians from Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Israel, Pat de Fu has been considered by music critics in Mexico as a musical unprecedented phenomenon. Pat de Fu has focused in mixing several music genres (many of which are already unheard), such as pasodoble, mussette and tango, with contemporary music genres. This small orchestra, with an acoustic background, undertakes to deliver music full of images, and it comes up as a journey into the deep fields of nostalgia, the distant lands where the most precious memories are accompanied by endearing characters. Pat de Fus vertiginous and meteoric musical career, which none of the bands members expected, has turned the group into one of the bands with a major development and projection in todays music scene in Mexico. Pat de Fus concerts soon become a great party (fiesta) where the audience, conformed by people of varied ages and lovers of all music genres, from classic music, jazz, traditional music all the way to rock music. They have recorded five CDs and have sold 100,000. Pat de Fu is preparing its next discographic edition, in which renowned musicians like Lila Downs, Natalia Lafourcade, among others, will participate. This album will be launched in October 2014. The group has appeared in the Festival Internacional Cervantino and they were invited twice to play in the Festival Vive Latino, the most important and emblematic rock show in Latin America, which gathers about 120 thousand people. They were also selected by the Kennedy Center of Art in Washington DC as musical representatives of Mexicos Bicentennial Celebrations. During all their years of musical career, the group has given concerts in Mexico, India, England, Colombia, and in summer of 2014, it will be on tour in Europe. The tour will include England (Henley Festival, Petworth Festival, The Roof Sessions at the West Bank in London); Spain (Festival Etnosur in Alcal la Real); and France (La Peniche, Paris, Festival Latino de A a Z, Les Alizs in Nice, and will take part in an artistic residency in Montreuil).
