Bio

Pat was raised in New York City by left-wing parents. As a child she went to Camp Woodland in Phoenicia, N.Y., which she alludes to in the album's title song. There she first became acquainted with Pete Seeger, folk music, and political activism. She began writing songs and performing when in her twenties, but life intervened and she put her hobby on the back burner as she raised three daughters and earned a masters degree in social work. She currently teaches at a community college and still pursues music as an avocation. In addition to performing solo, she's a member of The Raggedy Crew, a folk trio. She's also an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., where she now resides, as well as the Dutchess Peace Coalition. Some Saturdays, you'll find her at the peace vigil on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls, along with Pete Seeger...coming full circle.
