Patrice Blue Maltas

Patrice Blue Maltas is a native of Connecticut began her music career at the age of fifteen training with the Delphia Opera Company under the direction of Joan Brainerd. By nineteen Patrice was performing in the classic Opera La Boheme as Mossetto. As the arts and music consumed Patrice it was only natural that self-expression would follow. Teaching herself to play guitar Patrice began writing and performing her own compositions. Admiring the singer songwriters of Austin, Patrice moved to Texas and began performing immediately. Quickly received by local artist and fans Patrice blossomed into a much sought-after performer and songwriter. As Patrice’s following grew she began playing venues through-out the state. While performing in Dallas Patrice auditioned and won a state wide competition to the Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. After finishing her studies at the Academy, Patrice then went on to study under E. Katherine Kerr at the Actors Studio in Manhattan. As a working actress Patrice took center stage in Cabarets and Playhouses through out the North East. Throughout her career she has supported other artists as a teacher of the Creative Seed Workshop as well as hosting weekly artist support groups. The Creative Seed Workshop has been held all over the country in intimate retreat centers and at yoga studios with enthusiastic response. Never one to be still Patrice began writing and producing stage plays of her own. With three successful one woman shows to her credit Patrice felt it was time to get back to her roots “Singing and playing the guitar.” Now living back in Austin, Patrice divides her time between her spiritual training, composing, and performing live. As an accomplished Harmonium and Tambora player Patrice also composes and performs Sanskrit music. As an artist Patrice’s music has been described as “Deep, timeless and moving with spirituality woven through out.” Patrice has three cds: “Surrender” “Angels in the Dark” and “Resilience.” Patrice will once again hit the road and do what she does best, perform!
