""...superb Instinct for ensemble...""

"Flutist Patricia Creighton's superb instinct for ensemble, for blend and balance, coupled with her precise intonation, and violist Steven Dann's richly resonant sound served as equilibrium for harpist Erika Boodman's deceptively easy playing." - The Chronicle Herald

"'...a powerful intensity...""

"Dear Patricia,
I just listened to your performance of Wild Riot and my first thought was, "She's playing with the Nova Scotia Symphony when she could be first chair with any orchestra, anywhere? I knew Nova Scotia was a nice place to live, but I didn't know it was that nice!" Your performance was terrific! It combines wildness with tenderness with sudden and unexpected changes of character, just as I have asked for. ....listening to this performance I think you must be Kakumee's half sister, with a hidden wild side. Seriously, your playing fulfills all the requirements. You have a liquid warmth and richness of tone in the low register and a singing quality with color throughout the upper range. And a powerful intensity, which I especially liked, and which surprised me." - Michael Colgrass, composer

""demonstrating extreme virtuosity""

"...she took on Michael Colgrass's Wild Riot of the Shaman's Dreams for solo flute, demonstrating extreme virtuosity." - The Chronicle-Herald

"'...contributed darkness and warmth and something of the mystique of ancient China...""

“They featured Chinese erhu virtuoso George Bao in Tan Dun’s Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: Concerto for erhu and chamber orchestra....Patricia Creighton, playing powerfully in the low register of the alto flute, contributed darkness and warmth and something of the mystique of ancient China....” - The Chronicle-Herald

""...flutist blows crowd away...was a joy to listen to...."

"Flutist blows crowd away... was a joy to listen to..." - Fredericton Gleaner

Her second CD, "The Transcontinental" represents musical snapshots of different countries. Her third disc, "Melodies of Love", is a collaboration with harpist Karen Rokos and was a 2008 ECMA and MIANS nominee for Best Classical Album.
