The music of Patricia Paris is a compelling mix of rememberable pop hooks, colorful genre-blending arrangements, and unique vocals that bridge the vocalist stylings of past eras to modern times.

Biography

Patricia Paris injects contemporary pop with a sense of theatricality that is always exciting and never overdone. Her vocals soar with individualism and honesty that is rarely heard in today’s music scene.

The seed of Patricia’s musical career was planted at seven, when she was encouraged to sing by a nun at her elementary school. A bond and life purpose was born, and this has lost very little luster over the years.

Growing up in a musical family certainly helped to foster her development at a young age. By listening to her parents perform she was exposed to a wide array of music. It was with her parents’ group that she experienced some of her earliest public performances.

Patricia’s performance style very much reflects her unique range of influences. Her interest in rock and pop add an edge and a keen sense for phrasing. Meanwhile her love for classic musical theater have endowed her pop sensibilities a touch of class and finesse that is equally natural and compelling.

The history of her dual musical persona comes into focus more clearly when looking at her performance history. In college she became immersed in theater, studying both acting and musical theater performance. At the same time she began performing in bar bands sharpening her vocal and stage abilities.

The three songs available from Patricia’s EP are distinct and intriguing. Her music immediately engages the listener with simultaneous grand and intimate statements. The songs communicate with universal topics of conflict and conquest often with a most potent and authentic personal touch. Keep an eye out, a full album is currently in production and due out this year.

Save Me

Written By: Gene Micofsky

In the middle of the night I wake up
From a dream that shakes me
I won’t sleep tonight
All the fears I hold inside me never leave
But I won’t hide tonight

I have found a safer place inside my heart
That I can run to
Now that I’ve found a home in you

When I think I’m alone I have you to save me
When I’m feeling like the world has got me down
You can pick me up, you can lift me up again

All the years I lived in silence
I never heard a sound
Only thoughts in my mind
All my words left unspoken
But now I feel alive
I won’t hide tonight

I have found a deeper place inside my heart
That I can come to
Now that I’ve found a way with you

When I think I’m alone I have you to save me
When I’m feeling like the world has got me down
When I feel I’m alone I need you to save me
You can pick me up, you can lift me up
And take me home
Take me to a place I’ve never known

Simple Company

Written By: Gene Micofsky

I’ve got a bag full of endless excuses
I reach in when I wanna tune out the world
Cause I never really ran with a crowd
And you were the only one I wanted around

All I ever wanted, all I ever need
Is right here in front of me
All I ever wanted, all I ever really need
Is simple company

I’ve got space, just enough to slip into
It’s not much, but it’s always keeps me dry
I never had a need for open doors
But you showed me there can be so much more

I won’t let go, if you won’t let go
We’ll take a chance that’s only ours
I won’t give up if you don’t give up
We can take a chance that’s only ours
Take a chance that’s only ours to take

Something I Believe In

Written By: Gene Micofsky

I’ve been walking here for hours
Though I’ve hardly moved a step
Days pass on and on like lifetimes
That will never reach an end

Another page from a book you never read
And maybe never will
And it’s all the same to you
Just a point of view
That you’ll never understand

I have waited a lifetime holding on
To something I believe in
I hope you can understand
I can only be what I am

I’ve been shouting into darkness
To make a sound that no one hears
Living life behind the shadow
That you’ve cast above for me

All this motion taking place
Changing us in ways we do not see
But as time slips away the story’s all the same
As it was written once before

Across a sea of doubt
I’ll swim until my legs give out on me
There’s something I believe in
calling me home

I’ve been walking here for hours
Though I’ve hardly moved a step

Fade Away

Written By: Gene Micofsky

Memories come pouring in like rain
Drifting through my open mind again
Aimlessly I wander through the past
Satisfied for the moment to be here

Don’t wake me up just let me stay here for a while
I know I can’t stay here forever

You won’t fade away
You will never fade away
Because my heart is strong enough to
Hold you here, hold you near to me

Watching all those years that passed on by
Wondering how time has brought us here
Even though we’ll never bring them back
They will always be a part of us

Fade away, you will never fade away from me
