Bio
Sassy, classy, funky R&blues, gospel female musician. As her confidence grew in her guitar playing ability, she ventured into singing. Wilder says her guitar playing and singing were both outlets for self-expression embracing her strong alto voice. She truly enjoys performing as an expression of communication, and desires her audience to feel, hear and see all she is communicating through her music. Described as "one of the most exciting blues guitarist/vocalists to come out of the bay area in a long time" by Lee Hildebrand of the San Francisco Bay Guardian, Wilder has shared her talent with many great musicians, in the bay area such as gospel singer Linda Tillary, blues singer John Lee Hooker, Jr., jazz singer Angela Bofill and many others. Pat Wilder have learned music at the San Francisco City College.
Pat Wilder was not old enough to go to the club but sat in on guitar and she began playing guitar at the Long Island club on 3rd Street in San Francisco with a band called Point Out the Blues or the 20 Grand clubs a jam run by local artist KPOO blues dj Bobby Webb. From Italy to Spain to Rockland Maine Pat Wilder have traveled with performance. Nominated for Traditional Blues artist award. Award winner of the Billboard Honnored Mention song writers contest. You will be amazed at foot dancing music. Born in Houston Texas and lived and played guitar at her aunties juke joint. She moved back to San Francisco in the early 90's worked with Angela Bofil and toured. Pat Wilder also performed in gospel churches in the San Francisco bay area. San Francisco, Christian Center, Providence Baptist Church and Olivet Baptist Church and Hilltop Christian Church. She performed at the Warfield with Taj Mahal in San Francisco, Michael Burke in Clarksdale Mississippi Hobson Plantation, and Merle Saunders at the Great American Music Hall.
