Bio

The next leap forward in the evolution of the Great American singer/songwriter has arrived. Patrick Campion’s acoustic-rock sound successfully blends the melodic mass appeal of today’s heavyweights like John Mayer, Jack Johnson, and Jason Mraz with the craftmanship of legends like James Taylor and Paul Simon , to produce a fresh, original sound.

Patrick’s latest material was recorded with Billboard Award winning producer, “Brutal” Bill Marquez, at Marquez’ New Jersey studio. The songs are indicative of Patrick’s marketable and diverse abilities, creating vivid imagery and heartfelt themes easily relatable to the masses.

Raised on Long Island, NY in a musical family of seven children, Patrick started his professional career at the age of seventeen. Some of his greatest success to date came with his L.I. based rock quartet Brother Stump, with whom he produced and recorded three albums, garnering radio play, critical acclaim, extensive radio play and touring, and a L.I. Music Award nomination. He has been featured in numerous music magazines such as the Inside Connection, The Island Ear, and Good Times - and in newspapers such as NY Newsday and The Voice. While appearing at such diverse venues as The Continental (NYC), B.B. King’s (Memphis), and Alligator Alley (Ft. Lauderdale) Patrick shined in the New York scene, regularly performing from the stage of the biggest clubs such as Webster Hall , to legendary Greenwich Village haunts such as The Lion’s Den, Kenny’s Castaways, Terra Blues, and The Elbow Room to name a few.

Since Brother Stump’s final performances, Patrick continues to write and record in his home studio in South Florida . His new songs are quickly gaining an audience and have placed as a semi-finalist in the Great American Songwriting Contest and a finalist with his song "Freedom" in the PeaceDriven.com Songwriting contest (to be featured on Music Inspiring Social Change Volume 1 CD).

His songs "Freedom" and "Coltrane" are featured in the independent films "Signed, Souled, and Delivered" and "Dog Day Morning" , and the feature length documentary "Scare Me: Behind the Screams". He is currently performing regionally in support of his new music, while continuing to seek recording/licensing/co-publishing agreements.
