Bio

Patrick Conway is an Austin-based singer/songwriter, guitarist, bassist and producer.  He has released 7 studio albums and produced multiple recordings for other artists.  Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, he picked up the guitar and bass when he was 12 years old, and kickstarted his music career by starting his first band at age 13. After college, Patrick worked as a chief recording engineer/editor at Post-Modern Radio Network, where he recorded live, in-studio musical performances by artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Nick Lowe, The Jayhawks, Des'ree, and Ben Harper. He then moved to San Francisco, CA and began a successful career in music production at Hyde Street Studios and The Plant Studios and released his first two solo records. From there, his music adventures took him to Oahu, Hawaii, where he continued work as a producer/engineer, recording many styles of music including jazz, classical, rock, pop and reggae as well as traditional Hawaiian and slack-key guitar.  He worked with George Winston, Cyril Pahinui, members of HAPA and the Honolulu Symphony.  In 2006, Patrick moved to Austin, TX, where he now calls home, and started the Lost & Nameless Orchestra with long-time friend Chris Peterson, a fiddle-driven folk rock band.  He and the band have played numerous music festivals and venues across the U.S., including Kerrville Folk Festival, SXSW, Old Settler's, Fischer Fest, The Cactus Cafe, Continental Club, Saxon Pub, Mucky Duck and Gruene Hall.  Patrick is also a bassist for acclaimed Texas musician Sara Hickman.

Patrick's song-craft inspires ardent storytelling, with hints of his influences, Neil Finn, Luka Bloom, Mike Scott and Iron & Wine.  One of Patrick's many strengths is engaging and connecting with his audience as he shares heartfelt stories and insight behind his songwriting.  When he is not writing, playing or recording, he enjoys spending time with his family, yoga, mountain biking and traveling.
