Patrick Lanzetta

My name is Patrick Lanzetta. Im 22 years old and live in San Diego, California. When I was 5 years old my father had a Beatles collection. From a very young age I sat with my headphones on listening with joy and happiness to their sounds. My interest in music stood by my side all the way through high school. At the age of 13, I bought my first electric guitar. It became my new obsession. Every day I would play until my fingers nearly fell off. The sounds and styles of my music progressively changed as the years went on. When I first started singing with the guitar, it was a challenge for me to play and sing at the same time. I started learning by copying Beatles tabs from the internet. I was always more interested in the music before my time, usually the 60s and 70s. I began to play and sing at a nearby coffee shop in my hometown called Hot Java Cafe. The first time I went on stage I was so nervous that my legs would not stop shaking the whole time I played. It was an embarrassing experience I will never forget. As bad it was I still came back with more and more confidence each time. When I bought my new recording program, I instantly started harmonizing with my voice. Every song I would write I always would try and fit in a harmony at the perfect moment to enhance the song. I believe that a lot of music today has taken a turn for the worse. Here and there you will hear a group that stands out, but the music world is in need for a new style. My music I feel is a mixture of thoughts, emotion, influence, time, wisdom, energy, and happiness. The people/groups who have inspired me over the years just to name a few are: The Beatles, Kurt Cobain, Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Sublime, and Pink floyd...
