Patrick Martin

Patrick Martin is a singer/songwriter living in Boston, MA but he still calls the small town of Hillsdale, Michigan his home. He started playing guitar at the age of 11. At 15 he began playing songs by U2, Goo Goo Dolls, Coldplay, Dave Matthews, etc. while performing at events in and around his home town. A short while later, he was performing at restaurants, coffee houses, and other venues around the tri-state area. As his highschool graduation drew near, he thought about various colleges and soon learned about the Berklee College of Music. With only a limited formal music background, Patrick decided to apply to Berklee but he worried that he wouldn't measure up to their standards. Two weeks later after his audition in Chicago, he was notified of his "early acceptance" and a partial scholarship. Patrick was often told by family and friends that he had talent and his acceptance to Berklee confirmed what everyone had been saying. Now, after adjusting to "life in the big city", Patrick's learning from some of the best in the world of contemporary music. He continues to play alternative rock and has been writing songs which he will be adding to his performances this summer.
