Biography

While working on a recording project in 1999, Patrick was introduced to Eric. The two hit it off immediately and spent the next few years writing and recording together. While Eric was on tour with Hot Tuna, Patrick met guitarist John Widner. John and Patrick began working together in the studio, and their styles complimented each other very well. With Eric and John in high demand, the three spent their free time together becoming the best of friends., forming a brotherhood in life and music. When the opportuniity came to step out of current commitments and start their project together, they jumped at the chance. With every step of the way, each of them feels like this is home. While playing with some of Columbus' best bass players, the right mix of instrumental skills, vocals and personality still had not been found, until Ryan. After one rehearsal they knew they had found the missing piece. With many years professional performing between them, their experience, creativity, talent and energy have formed a dynamicly powerful chemistry that grabs your attention and keeps it. Diligently writing and working on material to be recorded on the band's first album, it is clear the quality, showmanship and the rare synergy between them brings out a contageous positive response from the audience that clearly shows they are ready for the next level.

Eric Diaz began playing drums at two years old, had his first professional gig at age eleven and never looked back. Over the years he has had experience in various musical styles such as calypso, reggae, soca, ska, Afro-Cuban, world beat rock and blues. In 2000, while performing at Merlefest he met former Jefferson Airplane Guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and was invited to play with Saturday Night Live band leader G.E. Smith and Jefferson Airplane’s Jack Cassady. He maintains an active performance schedule including recording, radio and television, with various groups, including a performance at the 2005 Presidential Inauguration. He is currently touring with Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Cassady’s band Hot Tuna.Eric is a dynamic powerhouse drummer with an innate sense of timing and unbelievable feel.

John Widner started playing guitar at age thirteen. His influences were Hendrix, Clapton and Santana and John is cut from the same mold. Blessed with natural music talent and a great ear, John worked hard and spent years woodshedding and honing his craft. At age 17, he became the lead guitar player for the Bellows who were signed with Play records. For ten years, he toured and played with greats like Smokey Robinson, Meatloaf, Rick Derringer and Rare Earth. John is a passionate guitarist, every note drenched in emotion and raw energy. Every performance is a unique and electrifying experience.

Ryan Tipps began playing bass at age 19. His father, a bass player himself, gave Ryan a bass and he took to it like a fish to water. Having natural groove and great timing, he showed an ear for detail and a knack for playing in the right spaces, laying down solid foundations with subtle but intricate flavor. At 20, he became the bass player for Minerva, a local band that received air play and local media coverage. Ryan is a 22 year old phenom with great chops and charisma, truly an artist at heart.

Patrick grew up in a musical family his grandfather was a singer,his father a country songwriter,and his brothers were in several rock bands.Even though he didn't start playing himself until he was 21, this connection to music was clear.A sincere,powerful, pop songwriter that has universal appeal.His vision behind this band is to have a group of that can take on any shape and go to any extreme.
