Pat Tierney's musical journey began in his teens listening to the likes of Ben Harper , Bob Dylan & Harry Manx. After hearing the lap slide guitar for the first time he ventured to learn the instrument straight away after an immediate connection , incorporating the rare instrument in with regular guitar and Pat had found his unique , laid back sound.
Fast forward a few years and the now Brisbane based songwriter is enjoying a steady rise on the local & national scene after releasing his latest ep 'Take On The World' in June. The self made & produced disc showcases Pat's talents on various instruments including the lap slide guitar & harmonica as well as his production & engineering skills in the studio where he studied in 2011.
This latest release is the follow up to his debut ep 'Friends & Lovers' (2010) which landed him right in the middle of the ever growing Brisbane music scene. Singing songs about love , loss & the people that surround him his songwriting continues to mature & grow towards the future which looks bright for the young artist.
With various festival appearances throughout South East Queensland and constant touring in this time as well as recent Triple J airplay , Pat continues on his musical path with no signs of slowing down. He has also recently joined the ranks of the newest music label in Brisbane 'Race Cafe Records' , with his sights set on a third ep by the end 2012 as well as national & international touring.
