Paula Gardin’s music represents a journey- the journey of her multi-faceted life. Paula’s powerful voice and passionate performing style have engaged many audiences whether it be live theatre or smoky Jazz Clubs.

As a songwriter she has been able to communicate her life experiences to an even wider audience through several genres of music which include Jazz, Pop and Latin. Her debut album “ A Little Rain Must Fall” will evoke emotional responses from all walks of life as ”there is a little something for everyone” says Paula . For example, there are the Latin influenced songs, “Time to Tango” and “Café Rapsodia” which were inspired by Paula’s recent trip to Argentina to study the Tango. The CD has 10 original tunes co-written by Paula and 3 cover tunes with innovative, unusual arrangements.

Paula’s background in musical theatre is present as she delivers her songs with a sassy, stylish approach. The last track “Jazzin’ in Me” is a testimony of Paula’s life and her music as well as a tribute to her years studying musical theatre at Sheridan College. Paula happily put her musical ambitions aside to become a ”sister, daughter, wife, a mother too” however, the pull was too strong and Paula reappeared with a Jazz trio/quartet playing for several years on the local Jazz club, festival and show scene. Paula’s television appearances include Global Television’s “Live It Up” and City TV’s “Breakfast Television”.

Paula’s collaboration with Toronto guitarist/producer/songwriter, Louis Bartolomucci in 2007 led to the birth of “A Little Rain Must Fall”. The writing partnership came easily for the pair and coupled with an impeccable stable of musicians, including Guido Basso on flugelhorn and harmonica, Steve Heathcote on drums, and Gordon Sheard and Marco Luciani on piano, something truly magical was born!
