Paul DiSalle

BandPopSinger/Songwriter

Album Broken Holiday('07), is a mixture of love songs and heartache with an alt-country edge. As this new chapter develops make no mistake that his solid guitar playing and from the heart lyrics will be front and center along with his sly sense of humour to keep everyone honest."(LopLops Gallery)

Biography

..."in a scrum with Danny Michel, Martin Tielli, Luke Doucet, Apostle of Hustle and others, Paul can play anything and sing anything... that's what makes him such a crowd pleaser".(Paul Loewenberg)

Learning how to sing and play guitar came naturally for Paul. Coming from generations of accomplished professional musicians within the DiSalle family, Paul watched his father Gary(guitar) perform throughout the years of his youth. Being fully inspired by age 11, he decided to pick up the guitar and begin to play, and with a little kickstart from his Dad, was off to the races in no time.

It wasn't long before artists like S.R.V., G.n.R., LedZepellin, The Eagles and Pearl Jam started to catch his ear, as he REALLY started to take his playing to new heights.

Playing guitar in many different Tribute acts, Original & Cover bands over the years, has taken him on tours all over North America and back. Now, with the release of "BROKEN HOLIDAY"(2007) he's officially been put on the map as a Singer/Songwriter of quintessential Canadian stock. Just a little something to help showcase his stellar guitar.

Now 26, he's touring as much as possible in the support of the recent album, and continues to work on material for album #2.

Her Place

Her Place

Staring at the cracks in the wall, I don’t feel much like anything, anymore
Walking up and down the white walls in the hall
I don’t feel like it hurts anymore, not at all, but when boredom sets in it’s a free fall.

People walking by looking sad as the guy who’s buddy just died
And that’s me in the corner, sitting down waiting for another ride,
But love and life, they only collide, underestimate belittling eyes..

(CHORUS) The leaves are free and the coming is going you see
And the bluest of skies don’t compare to the deepest of seas
So stop for a moment, cause I can’t breathe...
Wait for a minute and maybe then you’ll see, what you’re doing to me.

Sitting on a chair with you and my guitar drinking white wine
Glowing like a star in the sky, think it’s time we take our time
Well I don’t feel like I’m cursed anymore, but I’m falling hard
It’s a free fall and I’m going down.

(CHORUS)

It’s like books about travels and emails unravelling my busted heart
Those hypocrite stories of bullshit and lies, well you sure got it down to an art
Forgiveness is paid and I’m counting the days until you are mine..
But love and hate, they only collide, underestimate belittling eyes, that you treasure while you’re alive...

(CHORUS) The leaves are free and the coming is going you see
And the bluest of skies don’t compare to the deepest of seas
Why don’t you cut me wide open and watch me bleed
Give me the word and I’ll show you what I mean...
We’re just living in a dream.

In Case You Stop By

In Case You Stop By

Gonna leave the door unlocked this time
I’m gonna keep the windows closed to keep your scent inside
We gotta make a little money to get by
This is all for you and I and I’ll be fine in case you stop by.
...just in case you stop by.

I’m gonna keep an open ended line
You know I’ve already told you, you can call me anytime
Day or night, night or day it’s all the same
Well we can get a little lost upon our way this time, in case you stop by.
...this is just in case you stop by.

(BRIDGE)... So I wash my hands of it all, you can’t be his, I can’t be hers it’s true
This is your world,
Leave my fingerprints on yesterday; I’m still asking myself why
This is just in case you stop by.
...just in case you stop by.

When you’re looking at me what do you find
I can’t leave it alone or even get you off my mind
So maybe I do, just want to be with you tonight
It’s taken me all this time to get this right but I’ll keep trying
In case you stop by... Just in case you stop by
I want to say hi.

Could It Rain

Written By: Paul DiSalle

Could It Rain

Could it rain, or at least, rain again
For we are becoming the greatest of friends
I see how you love me and want to pretend
That you will not love me again

Well the raindrops are dancing outside of your fence
And trouble behind you is gone with the wind
When living in a circus you’re pretty much dead
But I will still love you again

So I have decided to wait on a shelf
And figure out all of this bullshit myself
Umbrellas are open and dripping all ‘round
Tell me when are the drops gonna hit the ground
It’s time to go downtown... love me

Hey there bartender, say where do you be
Some guy who’s looking familiar is sittin’ right to the left of me
Waiting for a jug now and I know it’s not free
Make room for a table of three
Cause I will still love you again.
