Bio

Notorious for spending countless hours in the studio, only to set the master tapes ablaze, Paul Edwards has finally committed to releasing his first album. His band (Steve Clifford - Bass, Dave Fenwick - Guitar, Wade Manricks - Drums) formed after his return from a year stay in Sweden where he was host/engineer/producer on International Radio at Lund Radio. While in Sweden he grew more interested in producing and recording as he dabbled at the radio station and recorded in a few studios around the city (Paul Edwards "Lund Sessions" - out of print).
Now Montreal based, he spends his days and nights recording and producing other bands both in studio and live in concert (including The Stills, Priestess, Peter Elkas, Joel Plaskett, Dutch Oven) for Houdini Mobile Recordings.

Connected to the likes of Nick Drake, Mark Lanegan, Grant Lee Buffalo, Travis, Jeff Buckley, and David Gray, Paul's songs are laced with intricate guitar playing and smooth, solid vocals that will make the hairs on the back on your neck stand at attention.

Recently voted one of the Best Singer/Songwriters in Montreal, critics and fans alike no doubt agree that Paul Edwards is a talented young songwriter who stays true to what music should be: inspired and original.

Keep your eyes & ears fixed on Edwards in 2005, as he will be bring it to the Clubs both on his own and with his band to promote the new album.
