Lyrics

George Harrison

Written By: Paul Harkins (track 03)

Well I don't think it's right that they put me in this spotlight
I feel like there's a noose around my neck
And I don't a give a sh## if they're trippin' on my trip
They're chasin' me around and I'm afraid
Because they love me and then the hate me
And then they love me once again
They stalk me they watch me
They hide beneath my bed
It's messin' with my head
Battle lines are being drawn
Because the Beatles wrote some songs
They're screamin' out so loud that I can't think
And I found within my heart
That I no longer fit this part
This lonesomeness is drivin' me away
Because they love me
And then they hate me
Then they love me once again
Hari Krishna, Hari Rama
Well I found another way
Enough is all I say
So I started on my own
When I left my past alone
But here comes the sun again
And my songs went to number one
When my consciousness begun
But I was riddled with self-doubt along the way
Because they love me then the hate me
Then they love me once again
They stalk me they watch me
They hide beneath my bed
I know my life has changed
I am now awake
I'll take it to the grave
I am not afraid

Like a River

Written By: Paul Harkins

I want my own love to flow like a river
Wash over my soul like I am a sinner
I want my own love to rise from the dirt
Crawl up my backbone and live in my shirt
But how will I know
How will I know
A love that I'm feelin'
A love that gives me healin'
Don't care about routines
I live in the moment
I'll trade this new house
To live in the low rent
Don't care about money
Or where I can get it
I've got a new plan
With love in my toolkit
But how will I know
How will I know
A love that I'm feelin'
A love that gives me healin'
Sun comes up everyday
Rain clouds they go away
I'll pick some flowers for you dear
I think that love is fine
And I don't need another sign
To show me how much I love you dear
It's quite clear I'm real
I want to give you everything I've been feelin'
Lay down beside you and give you some healin'
I want to give you perpetual freedom
Love you in every way that you are needin'
But how will I know
How will I know
A love that I'm feelin'
A love that gives me healin'
A love that I'm feelin'
A love that gives me healin'
Love, love. love, love, love, love.

Halfway Gone

Written By: Paul Harkins

Well I know a girl and she halfway gone
But she moves like an angel when I play her song
She smells like liquor and she tastes like a hit
She hangs on to life by her finger tips
She don't care the shape she's in
She lives her life like it was a sin
She's halfway to heaven neath the pearly gates
She comes back down
She full of self hate
Sometimes a woman she needs a little change
She can't keep on livin' in so much pain
If all the misery in this world don't kill
She's surely gonna fall if she takes another pill
She don't care the shape she's in
She lives her life like it was a sin
She's halfway to heaven neath the pearly gates
She comes back down
She full of self hate
Sometimes a woman knows she's gonna lose
She runs around naked just wearin' the blues
She's got the messed up hair the rings around her eyes
She don't care cause she stays real high
She don't care the shape she's in
She lives her life like it was a sin
She's halfway to heaven neath the pearly gates
She comes back down
She full of self hate
