"Read All About it!!!"

“Catchy pop fare and grungy guitar blues...tunes to suit anyone's ever-changing mood...
Just when you think Hourican has exhausted his palette, he shows another facet to his talent - and brings you even deeper under his spell.” ****
The Ticket, The Irish Times

“With influences ranging from Van Morrison to Davids Kitt and Gray, Paul Hourican is in the vanguard of Irish pop-rock writers taking the genre away from acoustic poor-me introspection into something more vital and engaging. He has such a winning way with a melody and arrangements, as well as a cool band... With his flexible, sincere voice, his poetic lyrics and songs that are so tightly-structured as to seem indestructible, Paul Hourican has crafted as superb a debut as we've had in a while.”
Hotpress****

“unapologetically confident...there's something exceptional within Hourican...offering more than your average singer/songwriter.”
State Magazine

“This is an immensely impressive first album...Blessed with a quavering falsetto and a knack for slow-building ballad Paul Hourican is a singer-songwriter with a bright future!”****
Ed Power, Metro

“A rich variety of songs ... a high standard of creativity suggest Paul Hourican is one to watch.”

“'Let The Enemy In' is glorious ... and suggests that Hourican is going to be a great album artist.”

Tom Dunne, Today FM

“One of Dublin's most promising singer-songwriters...A stonkingly good debut album...buy it!!”***

“Paul Hourican writes great songs!”
News of The World

“Paul Hourican has a superb voice and a gift for a melody that just begs for repeating listens...The guy is clearly a huge talent and if he isn't attracting major attention by the end of the year then I'll eat me little leprechaun hat.”

Bio

Paul Hourican's musical palette eloquently spans the spectrum from boldly convincing rock anthems that have been a likened to the likes of U2, The Doors, Coldplay and T-Rex to delicately heartfelt, magnificently crafted tunes the music world has compared to those of Damien Rice (whom Hourican has supported), Van Morrison, Ryan Adams, and David Gray. The critics have unanimously proclaimed that Hourican is indeed that rare artist who posses such natural talent he can pull off the rock, folk, and even pop genres wholeheartedly and with undeniable conviction. 2008 saw the release of Hourican's debut album 'Let The Enemy In', released on March 7th in Ireland through Hourican's own record label Hurricane Records and with exclusive distribution from Warner Music Ireland. It has been described by critics as 'unapologetically confident...exceptional' and 'Indestructible...as superb a debut as we've had', and has very much established Hourican as a musical force to be reckoned with.
Hailing from Dublin, on the album as on stage, Hourican is joined by some of Ireland’s finest musicians including legendary guitarist Conor Brady (The Blades, The Corrs, Jerry Fish), bassist Shane Fitzsimons (Damien Rice, Paddy Casey), drummer Steve Hogan (Hal, The Carnival Saloon) and keyboardist Derek Cronin (Sinead O'Connor). With live performances promising authoritative, emotionally arresting, honest and soulful delivery of, as of yet, untouched gems, and every throaty syllable surrendering to and serving the song, not just the singer, Hourican is one not to be missed!
