Pauline Newman is a Singer/Songwriter. She currently resides in Coral Springs, Florida. She has the imagination and the creativity of making the words effectively tell the story. When she performs she takes you on an emotional journey of love, heartbreak, betrayal and empowerment. She makes you feel exactly what she feels.
The first Single “My New Man” from her forthcoming self-titled debut album was released on June 28th, 2012 and is Ranked #18 on Amazon's MP3 Downloads Classic R&B list, #79 on the POP List and garnering a lot of attention; in part by Jango streaming radio. She currently performs in local hot spots.
She is the daughter of a Pastor, born in Montego Bay, Jamaica and has been singing gospel music her entire life. At age 15, she wrote her very first song “Mysterious Guy” but had to keep it a secret. Secular music was not allowed in the Newman household. Now into her thirties Ms. Newman is ready for the world to hear her music. “Even though I’m making an R&B album, I wanted Reggae and Dancehall influences added to spice it up a bit. I couldn’t possibly create art without adding parts of my heritage,” states the singer.
Some of her childhood influences are Bob Marley, Whitney Houston, Patti Labelle, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson. "I am not the typical artist. My sound is mine and mine alone. I do not aspire to be the next anyone. I can only be the best version of me. I love Music and the art of creating music. It makes me come alive and that is the feeling I want to convey to the fans," explains the singer.
“Pauline Newman is a universal songwriter. If you select one of her songs, give it to a male or female artist to record it, you will never have to change the lyrics to suit the individual. That is a gift only a select few possess,” states one of her producers.
This Singer/Songwriter is determined to make it. “Everyone has gone through some form of hurt in their life and they’re the one ones who will connect with my music. The music is my vehicle and my lyrics are the ever changing destination. I have a love affair with words,” states the Singer/Songwriter.
