Pauline Taylor

Pauline Taylor began her illustrious career signed to the well-respected dance label Cheeky Records and as a vocalist with the successful band Faithless as well as appearing on some of the largest dance tracks of the
late 90's.

Taylor released her first self-titled album in 1999 to critical acclaim, which included the tracks "Constantly Waiting" and "The Letter". As well as extensively touring across Europe with the first release, she also supported Faithless and Cheeky Records Label mates Skinny, playing to crowds of over 25,000 people.

Taylor returned to the London live circuit with a stunning opening set for Morcheeba at Somerset House in 2003. Following her major publishing deal
with Warner Chappell in 2005, Taylor released her second album 'A Simple
Life' containing the much acclaimed single 'Solo Flying Mystery Man' which
was to later feature on the Faithless 'Back to Mine' album.

Pauline Taylor has written and featured on both albums for Dido
(Cheeky/Arista), Paolo Nutini "These Streets" (Atlantic), P*nut "Sweet As"
(Sony/BMG), Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm "Beautiful Intentions" (RedGirl
Records) and the 1 Giant Leap project along with new artists Jason Sparks,
Belle, One Eskimo and The Hempolics and has also appeared backing many
artists including Robbie Williams and New Order. Pauline has also had her
songs appear in the Hollywood films: "Cruel Intentions" and "A Life Less
Ordinary".

2007 has been a great year for Taylor. Recently signed to young Independent
label Fred, she has recorded the astonishing third album 'UP'and has already
performed her new material in a fantastic series of major shows supporting
Paolo Nutini on his UK tour which included The Brixton Academy and The
Carling Academy, Glasgow.

The album is made up of the kind of personal, moving and lyrically direct
songs that have made her name and contains 11 tracks including the first
single, the title track 'UP'. Pauline says "Gigging's a big part of my life,
And I think this album definitely reflect the last year or so of being out a
lot or staying up all night. I love watching people dance and flirt and get
a bit drunk.”

The single 'UP' however relates to her sleepless nights, she observes " I'm
a night owl so a lot of these songs were written at silly o'clock! The
sounds are far more intense at that time.

'UP' is released on 8th Oct, which includes the floor filling dance remix by
cult producer EAZY and a stylish music video. The Album 'UP' is released on
October 15th.
