Paul Johnson is mostly a mystery. Recently uprooted from somewhere in the deep antebellum south, he can currently be found roaming the vicious streets of New York City, armed with a musical instrument or atleast the inclination to find himself in such a position.
Drawing influences from Neil Young to Pearl Jam, Django Reinhardt to Gillian Welch, Johnson is a musician with a keen sense for a well written song.
The execution of those original compositions is brought to fruition by stellar ability on his primary instrument, guitar, and a voice that can be demanding and vulnerable in the same hand.
Johnson is also the front man for rock n' roll group, Poor Harvey (http://www.sonicbids.com/poorharvey), as well as guitarist and backup vocalist for East Village's Kristin Diable (http://www.kristindiable.com).
