Paul Lichtenauer

Paul Lichtenauer is an established musician in the Kansas City music scene. He is the guitarist for the bands Black Ribbon Sky, and Monsters of Tokyo. His tastes in music range from Hard Rock and Heavy Metal to 80's New Wave and trip-hop. As a solo songwriter Paul tries to find the pure essence of music. Simplicity and melody are his driving forces. Using his variety of influences he creates music that transcends genres. He has the ability to pique the interest of any demographic.

Raised on a healthy dose of Black Sabbath and Patsy Cline, Paul has had a love for music since he was able to walk. He picked up his first instrument at the age of five and hasn't looked back. Starting off with the guitar then picking up the trumpet, tuba, baritone, and many others he has dedicated himself to learning and writing music. From his first song "Funky Fish From Mars" (Hey, he was only 13) to local hits like Black Ribbon Sky's "Halo", Paul's songwriting prowess is evident.
