“I´m so High” 1st cut from Paul Maxwel’s new Album “Love and Pride” will be Spain’s top leading media Group COPE official song for UEFA Euro2008.
Paul Maxwel will empower COPE Group sport contents during UEFA Euro2008. Throughout the month of June Paul Maxwel’s new album –produced by Wingrove Music- will be aired on football live broadcasts, COPE’s sport news, Rock&Gol, Cadena 100 and www.cope.es. Also, it will be part of Popular Televisión programming.
“Tiempo de Juego”, “El Tirachinas” and any COPE Euro2008 Special Editions (2.00pm, 8.00pm and Midnight) will launch the jingle based on the song “I´m so High”, written and played by Paul Maxwel.

Paul Maxwel has launched to the european market his first album with original songs “Love and Pride” and announces his TOUR 2008. Wingrove Music -Paul Maxwel's record company- is responsible for the production of the album which took place in Los Angeles, CA, New York and Seville throughout last winter.
“Love and Pride” has been produced by Michel Guerillot, leader of Wingrove Music and a crew of engineers and musicians such as Rafa Sardina -10 Grammy Awards who occasionally works with Macy Grey, Luis Miguel, Alejandro Sanz and Dr. Dre-, Ted Jensen from New York’s Sterling Sound Studio, mastering engineer of Madonna, Shakira, Metallica, Santana, Norah Jones, Billy Joel and Rod Stewart and Héctor Pérez the musical producer and arranger.

Maxwel was supported by a crowd who gradually ended singing the songs and actively participating in the launching of his new album, "Love and Pride." Two hours was enough to show the audience the consolidation of a globalized project and the result of years of Paul Maxwel's hard work in la Costa del Sol.
For the "Love and Pride" launching, Paul Maxwel performed with a band of bass and guitar, drums, percussion, piano and keyboards, a wide metal section and a solid chorus. The result: an overwhelming sound in strong dosages that predicted an incredible live performance able to electrify a room full at its capacity.
Over the first half of the concert, Paul Maxwel -- dressed in white -- warmed the audience up. Starting with deep guitars that slowly met the musical paths stressed by the piano, more allegro themes showed up in cascade and revealed Paul Maxwel's musical roots (the end of the 70s beginning of the 80s) added by electric virtuosity and intense percussion.
Over the second half of the concert, Paul Maxwel was dressed in black. The show developed with Paul at the piano in communion with a devoted audience and revealing the artist's most intimate face ("I'm waiting for your love"). Furthermore, Paul added some great and classic song versions like Billy Joel's "Piano Man. He left the most intimate songs -- "You changed my Life" and "We all need friends, a sincere and astonishing song that Paul used to thank his producer Michel Guerillot and his sponsor and friend Povl Lautrup, the Swedish tycoon -- for the end.
Once again, Michel Guerillot's previous words on Paul were confirmed: "Paul Maxwel is a shy and intimate person -- as all composers are -- who transforms himself into someone close in the short distance. As well, he turns into a melodic stream on stage. He owns an extraordinary strength."
"Love and Pride" promises a selection of ballads, dynamic and pure rock songs. The inspiration of "Love and Pride" comes from the challenges the artist had to confront throughout his life and the boost of all the people who believed in him from the beginning of his career and to whom the album is dedicated.

Also known as The Piano Man
Born in Gloucester
Son of accomplished musicians, Maxwel was introduced to the music industry very early in his life and found himself performing by the age of seven. Having started his musical career as a drummer, he eventually took up the piano and by the age of 14 had already joined his parents’ band on the keyboard, and at the same time frequently backed up other bands.
Maxwel was also a gifted singer, and he finally decided to go solo and started performing in various places around Spain, where he grew up. He has been very successful in gaining an international following after performing in a number of countries all around Europe, where he was very well received.
In recent years, Paul has seen his career reach new heights with extremely successful performances in Puerto Banús and Marbella, where he performed for wealthy jet-setters and personalities, who simply adored Paul’s music.
Paul has also opened his own venues under the name of The Piano Man, which was a huge overnight success and caused the number of Paul’s fans to continue growing
Paul developed his own musical style listening to British and American Pop and Rock artists such as Lionel Ritchie, Michael Bolton and Elton John. “I have always had a great interest in their music, their careers, the way they appear on stage. They helped me a lot in developing my own style.”
All this is indeed reflected in Maxwel’s music. Although he is a dynamic artist always open to new ideas, he specializes in Popular Rock. “Both Pop and Rock have a lot of variety and possibilities to musically move around within these styles, and in general the public responds well to it.” His fusion of piano music and his warm voice accompanied with dynamic brass and string accompaniments makes his music both explosive and romantic.
Apart from being a proven musician, Maxwel is also an accomplished songwriter, writing some wonderful songs, which Paul claims to be one of his secret passions.
Paul also is an amazing entertainer who connects straight away with his audience, always delivering a great performance Paul admits that performing is what he enjoys the most in life and that there is nothing like seeing people having a good time.

It wasn’t long before all this talent and experience was discovered by the Sweedish tycoon Povl Lautrup, one of Paul’s biggest fans.
Mr Lautrup and Michel Guerillot from Wingrove Music, a European record company, decided to launch Paul into the big wide world of the music industry in 2008 with the album “Love and Pride” a very promising album.
The album is based on Paul’s talent and wonderful songwriting, the result of years of hard work, and has been put together with some of the best choirs and musicians in the top music recording studios of Europe and United States. Inspired by the challenges he has faced and overcome in life, the album promises to offer a varied mix of dynamic songs including emotional ballads and lively pieces.
With his hard work ethic and never ending determination, and thanks to the support of his close friends Povl Laudtrup and Michel Guérillot of Wingrove Music, Paul is definitely one to keep an eye on. Like fine wine, he just seems to be getting better with time.
