Bio
Award winning singer/songwriter, Paul has written well in excess of 100 songs across as many genres as he can! His success as runner up in the Folk & Country category 2005 UK Songwriting Contest with 'Cold', was closely followed in 2006 with a finalist position for 'Love Thing' in the jazz/blues category.
After playing in various bands and developing as a solo artist in the 80's, Paul had a family break in the 90's, returning to music in the early 2000's. He soon met Jacqueline Sharp, (perhaps the worlds best kept secret voice!) and went on to achieve radio plays, Showcase and Festival performances and the competion success. Jacqui moved on to work with Clive Gregson amongst others, and so Paul met Blaire Palmer in May 2005. Blaire's silky, tantalising voice gives Pauls songs a completely different feel and coupled with their on stage rapport the future looks bright! Already to date they have supported Martin Carthy, played festivals and of course the competion success, they truly deserve greater commercial interest!
Pauls influences range from John Martyn/Nick Drake/Richard Thompson to 60's & 70's Soul, Blues, Little Feat/Sting/Joni Mitchell etc etc, but he also keeps a firm ear on contempory music i.e. James Blunt/Jose Gonzales/Amy Winehouse.
Blaire's style comes from influences as wide as Ella Fitzgerald/Billie Holliday to Blondie/Suzanne Vega!
