I've written more than 100 songs.

My track "Good Old-Fashioned Love" won third place in the 2005 ASA national songwriting competition.

In 2006, another song, "Great Date, Wrong Guy", received a "judge's hot pick" prize in the Pacific Songwriting Competition. This same song has recently been selected for inclusion on the SongsAlive CD sampler 10, which will take the track to a large network of film and television music supervisors, publishers, record company A&R reps, producers, music festivals & conferences, trade shows, managers, radio stations, print media and artists around the world.

In July 2007, “Metrosexual Man” won a finalist position in the lyrics only category of the Unisong International songwriting competition for 2006/07. In addition, “Drunk”, another dance track, received an ‘honourable mention’ in the dance category of the same competition.

Later in 2007, "Drunk" was awarded second place in the dance/electronica section of the Pacific songwriting competition.

I love the flash of excitement I get when writing a new song. It's the best feeling in the world.

I started playing piano when I was five and completed my Associate of Music diploma (piano) when I was 19. Then I studied communications (BA Comm) and writing (MA) while working as a journalist and teaching piano.

I've been writing music for about 15 years - but more seriously in the last couple. I regularly attend SongsAlive workshops to get feedback on my stuff and hear what other writers are doing.

I'm interested in most pop genres from top 40, through to jazz, dance, ballads, R&B and indie rock.
