BandFolk

My music spans a lot of genres. I try to keep my ears open to the past present and future. My music is a mix of electric and acoustic thinking man/woman music with some twists and turns thrown in to keep things interesting.

Biography

Started out as a wee guitar player a long long itme ago, when rap was a thing that hippies did inbetween tokes of weed and mouthfulls of pizza and munchies. lCollected thousands of pieces of vinyl called LPs containing music by all the great guitar players and I tried to play like them for years but finally found my own style. Played for five years in a group known as Oliver Creak. We made a CD of fine acoustic electic music, of which I still have one hundred little shrink-wrapped beayuties in a cardboard box at home. Oliver creak played and played and played. From Irish music to originals to blues to wedding processions to much much more. And then having done all that decided to depart in seperate radial directions to the four winds while still keeping spiritually connected. I kept writing and amassed a song portfolio, the envy of many. Won (a) few awards with my stuff and today you will still find me commuting to my day job with pen in hand, writing a new song each day. There...... having read all this, you still do not know who I am do you which as it should be in my opinion. Cause to know me, you need to know my music which you can access on Soundclick.com/PaulTWentworth.

Peace...Paul

Too Quiet in Here

Written By: Paul T Wentworth

Too Quiet in Here
Copyright 2004 Paul T Wentworth
V1
Never knew how loud my refrigerator moaned
Till I started spending every evening home alone
Never knew how loud my water faucet leaked
Never knew my floor had too many squeaks
well I'm hearing all these voices
I never heard before
Started bout the time you walked out that door.
Chorus
And it’s too quiet in here; it’s too quiet in here
I'm coming a little unglued by all this solitude, and its too quiet inhere

V2
I got lots of time to listen to all those noises in my house
Got no more interference from your screams or from your shouts
Feels strange in this living room alone
Walking through a shell that used to be my home
Last night I got so lonely I tried to call you on the phone but a disembodied voice said: "leave a message I’m not home

And it’s too quiet in here; it’s too quiet in here
I could die in here; they’d never find my body,
Cause its too quiet in here
V3
Last night up in my bedroom I found one of your blue skirts
It was rolled up in the corner under one of my white shirts
I picked it up and gently pressed it to my nose
I swear I felt you honey……..you felt so close
I could a sworn I was lying right beside you through the night
Next day I threw that skirt away cause something wasn’t right
Felt so pathetic what would my neighbors suppose
If they found out I spent the night smelling my ex lover’s clothes

Chorus:
And it’s too quiet in here; it’s too quiet in here
I’m tired of dancing in the dark with nobody but my heart and it’s too quiet in here
And it’s too quiet in here; it’s too quiet in here
I’m gonna dance right out this door
I can’t live here anymore

V4
Now I got me a hotel room it’s got a vibrating bed
Got a handful of quarters and an aching head
Aint had a wink of sleep since the night before last
Gotta find a way to put you in the past
Now I’m getting my pajamas on gonna slip into bed
See if I can shake you outta my head

But its too quiet inhere, it’s too quiet in here
In spite of all this shaking my mind’s still aching, cause it’s too quiet in here
It’s too quiet in here; it’s too quiet in here
I’m coming a little unglued by all this solitude , its too quiet in here.

How Long

Written By: Paul T Wentworth

Verse1
I have seen you lwide eyed and innocent
Staring straignt into my face
Suddenly it hits me hard like an arrow to my heart -in your world I have no place
No matter how hard you try you can run but you cannot hide cause its right ther by your side
Each time it goes away, it returns again the next
Its always right there close behind you

Chorus
How long have you felt this way
How long are you gonna play
Dumb like you didn't know did you think it wouldn't show
How much have you held inside
SOmethings you just can't hide
Each day it goeds unsaid is another day of pain and regret
La-la-la-la-la-la- Etc.

Verse 2
I have heard you laughing and calling out my name telling me that nothing's changed
Its okay I hear you say
But I see you slip away
No matter how hard you try you can run but you cannot hide cause its right ther by your side
Each time it goes away, it returns again the next
Its always right there close behind you

CHorus
Break
Will you return or will you just burn into as dream
A dream that fades anthen never comes this way again

Chorus
