Bio

Get lost in the rare and beautiful musical mind of Paul Warner. He is one of today's true artists, painting pictures of imaginary worlds with flowing stories, addictive melodies, and brushstrokes of sonic starlight and maple syrup. And when necessary, the man knows exactly how to tastefully craft this enduring flavor into a good old-fashioned radio-ready gem. A Paul Warner tune tastes a little different on each listen- from the very first encounter to the hundredth withdrawal-induced spin. His pop sensibility eases you into the water and makes you feel right at home, but his exceptional ability to merge the pop psychology with the haunting depth of a truly unique and important artist keeps you listening, keeps your imagination pacing, and keeps you wondering, “where did this guy *come* from?”

Atlanta, Georgia is one answer. A life of obsession with guitar playing, and later with singing, songwriting, and recording is another.

“I've always been fascinated by the marriage between melody and lyrics. The way sometimes they just fit- like no other words could ever go with that melody and vice versa. I would hear classic songs and think 'I want to be able to do that'- because it's this elusive, magical thing- to feel something one day and to be able to express that feeling in this form that, if you do it just right, can make it greater than the sum of its parts. As I write, I'm hoping to find that every day. Sometimes I get lucky and get something I can keep forever and be proud of. The rest (the majority) of the stuff I hide under a rock for nobody to ever hear.”

The lucky batch of songs that have avoided this fate have found their way onto a debut album that has already enjoyed high praise from both fans and critics. Armed with a great band, a high energy live show, and an album that keeps you listening after the concert is over, Paul Warner is ready for the grand unveiling.

“I'm not writing songs for other people, but my ultimate goal is for others to hear and enjoy my music. That may sound like a contradiction, but to me, it isn't. There are so many other artists out there whose music I've personally loved and have been moved by, and I just want to try to return the favor, really.”
