Paw Coal & The Clinkers plays "full-spectrum" Americana, and we keep it real because we have a great respect for the musica, we love what we do, and enjoy sharing it with others.

Biography

Paw Coal & The Clinkers formed after the demise of Family Coal--hence the "clinker" reference. Besides the bluegrass 5-wire, Paw does more frailing, pulls out the old-timey fiddle, sends up more cowbowy tunes on the guitar, and more originals in this line up. Uncle Pete is still back there on Bass and joins in on vocal. Hired Hand John dives deeper into Bluegrass hits, and occassionaly picks up the guitar. Cousin Eric brings it all together with his sweet guitar stylings and old-time banjo, plus matches Paw on his deep knowledge of Americana music.
