Malik Payne Sr., (born August.26,1991) better known by his stage name Payne Da Squad Boy , is an American rapper from Toledo, Ohio. The Founder of Squad Boy Entertainment; Owner of This Is Hip-Hop; Host of The Squad Session Podcast; and the 2012 106 and Park Freestyle Friday Wild Card Champion. Payne was born in Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. He was raised in West Chester & West Philadelphia but lived in over 6 cities in Pennsylvania all together. In 2000, his family left the East Coast and moved to the Eastside of Detroit, MI. From Detroit to River Rouge, they spent 3 years in Michigan before making the final relocation to Toledo, OH where Payne grew up. From 2009-2011 he went to college for Music Business Technology and Business Management in Ohio & New York. The Pennsylvania-born recording artist gained attention in the streets of Toledo as a Battle Rapper at 14 years old. His national debut came when he was signed up for Freestyle Friday (a weekly battle rap segment on pop culture's #1 Music Video show, BET's 106 & Park). Payne Da Squad Boy became the new Champion his first show, won the entire Wild Card Season, made the #8 seed & went all the way to the Final Four in the March Mayhem Competition.
