Bio

PAY*OLA are a rock’n’roll 4-piece from Belfast, Northern Ireland – a band with a great affection for the classic rock greats, and who combine those influences with a modern power-pop sensibility to create their own unique sound – one in which the song is important above all else. A combination of melody and bite, humour and passion, suss and soul. The brand new Colour Red E.P is the follow up to their well received 77 Miles E.P and Try Everything Twice debut album, and showcases these qualities in abundance. A renowned live act throughout Ireland, and with a growing cult following elsewhere – these boys have rocked stages with acts as diverse as Audioslave, Status Quo, Embrace, Thin Lizzy, Buckcherry, Snow Patrol, Jimmy Barnes and Bad Company. Improve your day with a big piece of Pay*ola!

Pay*ola recently added new drummer Adam Callaghan to the ranks, and their brand new 3 track E.P "Colour Red" is available to download at iTunes, Amazon MP3 and www.tunetribe.com (their debut album "Try Everything Twice" & the 77 Miles E.P are also available on Tunetribe). They also recorded their first ever BBC Radio 1 session in 2008, which was broadcast thoughout the U.K

Here's what Northern ireland's national newspaper The Belfast telegraph had to say about "77 Miles": “If it got nationwide airplay, it would have a good chance of hitting the charts. The title track is a thumping, powerful, chant-along anthem, ideal for singing along to while punching your hand in the air. It would be hailed as a classic if it was released by Van Halen, Aerosmith or Guns’n’Roses”
