About PCE as a group.

When you combine real life situations, the love of music and a hunger to succeed, PCE is formed. Born and bred in Mobile, Alabama, where Rap is at the core of a culture surrounded by Jazz, Blues and R&B, group mates Mastaki “Stock” Smith, Marcus “Mawk” Mark and Wayne “Coke” Coker had no choice but to “bring back” its roots with lyrics that’s real and visionary.

PCE’s love of music comes from growing up and listening to the influential rap groups: UGK, NWA, Geto Boys and Hot Boys to name a few. Though PCE grew up on different sides of Mobile , their capacity of writing and rapping cuts started in high school. It was not until the “college days” that the men connected.

After a playful episode in the studio and meeting DJ Bishop ( Hittmenn DJ’s), PCE began its first cut, “Bag Money” off its soon to be released mixtape, Hungry for it, Volume I.” DJ Bishop said they “were ready” and it moved a desire to drive even further. PCE performed its “Bag Money” in clubs throughout Alabama and Mississippi . “The crowds were feeling the music. “They weren’t expecting to hear something like that, with that quality,” says Coke. The cut played on Sirius Satellite Radio, hip-hop radio, which contributed to the impact PCE’s lyrics have made in the Southern underground rap community. Collectively, they are naturals because for Mawk- “music comes from my thoughts, things that I have been through, things I know,” Coke- “I am a product of my environment so expect that in my music, a lot of real stories and situations,” and Stock- “our style is versatile but at the same time true to what we do every day.” PCE’s level of aptitude is due to the friendly competition exercised amongst the group. “During our creative process, we would each put down a verse and collaborate to see which one has the best take. The competition keeps us challenged to top ourselves,” says Stock.
Managed by Mario Mack, PCE has a thirst to continue a legacy of the southern hip hop giants.
