Bio

Peasant’s King is a five-piece band from Pontypridd. Forming in January 2012 after the breakup of a previous band, their their feet haven't touched the ground.

Somewhat innocently, they uploaded their material to "BBC Introducing”, not really expecting anything much to happen. Be honest, they rarely do, do they. But then a miracle happened. Their song, 'Antidotes' was selected as the 'Introducing Track of the Week’ for the last week of November and got play listed, gaining praise from the likes of Fearne Cotton, Greg James, Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens.

"I bet that sounds amazing at the end of their gigs." - Greg James' thoughts on 'Antidotes'

Regularly to be seen live at numerous venues throughout South Wales, the band recently played the legendary Reading & Leeds festivals on the BBC Introducing Stages, sub-headlining before Dog Is Dead. The band also recently secured a support slow with Gabrielle Aplin on the Cardiff date of her tour, being chosen by Gabrielle herself.

In September, Peasant's King headed into the studio to record an album's worth of material for their next major release.

Peasant's King second E.P. "When Four Walls Are Home" is available NOW, including the singles 'Cemetery' and 'Antidotes'.
