Bio

The roots of Pebbledash were born when guitarist Tom Askaroff met keyboard player Rod Pooley,
and they realised they shared a passion for funk music. Rod was taken with Tom`s fluent
and gutsy playing style and Tom delighted by Rod`s mastery of jazz and funk, and all aspects of keyboard.
They invited drummer/percussionist James Asher to join them in forming a band, and they soon had a strong
rhythm section, and a wealth of musical ideas they enjoyed exploring. James added a rhythmic drive that started
to give the grooves an irrefutable quality. But this was taken up to the next level by the arrival of
astounding bass guitarist Matt Cooper, whose unique and spirited playing style gave the music
a solid syncopated core, upon which the grooves could sit. Every member of the band was excited by the musical
chemistry that now existed and the collective enthusiasm drove it all energetically forward.

Finally vocalist Emma Meeres graced the band as a charismatic front person, performer and focal point for the band.
Her strong voice, dynamic presence and engaging original melody lines and lyrics complete the music, turning the band`s
compositions into songs. Within three months they had created their first set of eleven original songs,
and were receiving rapturous receptions at concerts, and return invitations from radio stations.
