Pedestrians

PEDESTRIANS are an established South Jersey jam band performing original music, as well as music by popular artists such as: The Grateful Dead, The Band, The Beatles, Neil Young, Ween, The Rolling Stones, Phish, Talking Heads, P-Funk and many more.

Plus: a rotation of regular musical guests, performing electric fiddle, percussion, and blues harp

The band began playing music together in 1999. The current established group of players, which form a tight groove-oriented outfit, has maintained a distinctive crowd pleasing identity for many years.
Thundering rhythm and blistering solos, balanced by delicate melodies and well-crafted songwriting, give this band a unique flavor all of its own. The sound of the band, while constantly evolving, has its roots in Classic Rock, Funk, Americana, Folk, Rhythm and Blues. They have a well balanced mix of vintage tone and contemporary improvisational fusion that gets dance floors shaking.
At any given time, their repertoire consists of at least 250 songs. Since the inception of the band, their primary goal has been to provide listeners with quality performances which include original music along with tasteful renditions of songs written by some of their favorite artists. The “Peds” have been performing in the Delaware Valley since 2001 and are Atlantic City’s premiere improvisational rock band. Pedestrians have played a variety of venues over the years here are the highlights:

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ: Hard Rock Cafe', House of Blues, Kelly's Corner Pub, La Grande Fromage, The Tun Tavern, AC ’s Around the Island Swim, and Trinity Pub at The Pier at Caesar's for a Phish After-party in 2010.
Somers point, NJ: Schooners Bar, Stumpo's/Hibiscus (now Clancy's By The Bay), Caroline's By The Bay, Charlie's Bar, The Pearl, DiOrio’s, and the band raised $1700 for a Hurricane Katrina Benefit that we organized at The Somers Point VFW.

GALLOWAY, NJ: Pitney Pub, Stockton PAC Center for Earth Day Celebration, and The band played live on Stockton's Radio Station WLFR 91.7 FM for The Grateful Dead Hour.

Since improvisation has become such big part of the Pedestrians show there are always surprises in store, as we prefer not to limit ourselves to a routine act. No two shows are ever the same except that they are always a good time! The Pedestrians offer a solid line up of crowd pleasing music guaranteed to bring a smile.
