Bio
Peg Simone and her band pull from many different influences. Peg Simone had spent the nineties in a variety of bands such as The Pleasure Heads and Wormhole out of Pittsburgh, PA. In 1996 she moved to San Francisco and joined the female glam rock band, The Glamour Pussies. 1999 brought her to New York where she started playing solo, self-releasing the full length "Branded Heart". The past several years have brought the rock oriented "4-song EP", "Swoon" recorded with the current line up in 2004 and most recently the 4-song EP "If When".
The current line up consists of Dan Barnhill on guitar, formerly of "The Bad Genes"; James Murray on drums who also plays with The Reid Paley Trio; and Tony Maimone from such bands as Pere Ubu, TMBG, Book of Knots, among others on bass.
What sets this band apart from any other is that they are not corraled by any particular style or format as dictated by a particular genre. Good, solid, rock & roll which can range from a quiet haunting whispher to a sonic roar in a matter of seconds.
