Bio:

Singer-Songwriter Pei has been writing songs since the age of 7. As a shy grade schooler, writing music became her vehicle to pour out her perception of the world around her. "I wrote simple lyrics that consisted only of words I could spell. I performed that song at every family and school event from that point on." Pei, simply pronounced "P", looks up to and has been influenced by greats such as Tina Turner, Sade, and Minny Riperton.

For her first, and highly anticipated, first album, Pei has linked up with producer Jean-Batiste for a destinctive "Pei" sound. "It's a little Motown infused with Pop" deservant of the genre "Pop-Soul." A lover of all music, Pei is at her core a songwriter, whether for herself or for other artists, she captures the soul of her audience through her lyrics. " I really take pride in my ability to capture life situations. I don't believe we are as different as we think we are; which makes me believe we feel similar in similar situations."

With a humble yet confident swagger, she brings an edge that is unfamiliar, yet welcomed, to her music.
