Bio
Pelico are an indie/folk four piece from York, who write and perform their own material.
Their music reaches far and wide, taking influence from a wide musical spectrum creating a huge repertoire of songs. With powerful close harmonies, instant hooks and subtle lyrics, Pelico have honed a style which won’t fail to please the ear.
Their continuing commitment to their live shows is now paying dividends, and has seen them play to ever increasing crowds from one show to the next and they have recently supported the likes of Hope & Social, Roddy Woomble (Idlewilde), Dead Rock West, Yellowire & Emily Maguire, to name a few!
‘Smile’, the first album by the band, was released in March 2012 and their live dates in spring and summer 2012 will include tracks from the album and much more. “We’ve got enough material for a second album already, we’re really looking forward to playing the current and future album tracks to audiences in 2012“.
