"SKILLED ARRANGER"

A skilled arranger and composer who has written scores for several films, Ivan Camblor recently finished work on the band's second album.
Collaborating with Cuban pianist Chuchito Valdes, who is the son of Irakere founder Chucho Valdes and grandson of piano legend Bebo Valdes, Camblor has developed a new body of tunes that hark back to the raw, pulsing energy of the musicians who first inspired him! - SF GATE home of the San Francisco Chronicle - Andrew Gilbert

"Santa Cruz Festival"

Pellejo Seco's first trip to Santa Cruz was a huge success. The large crowd was all smiles and the dance floor stayed full all night. Pellejo Seco is the premier son band of the San Francisco Bay Area, who do all original songs composed by either Ivan Camblor and/or Livan Montoya. - TIMBA...The Home of Cuban Music on the WEB - Tom Ehrlich

"Pellejo Seco - Cuban Music"

Pellejo Seco, greatly influenced by traditional Cuban music, graces Larkspur's lovely listeningroom on one of those rare nights that I'll be out enjoying some frivolity in San Francisco. So I'm depending on you Marin County, to warmly welcome tres player and vocalist Ivan Camblor and his fellow purveyors of Latin, Brazilian, and Afro Cuban Jazz and Folk. - PACIFIC SUN - Marin County's Best Online - Matt Kramer
